On August 1st, Dokubari (毒針) announced several big pieces of news. The first is that support drummer Nii and new guitarist Bakemono (化物) are joining the band. Nii has been acting support since Tenmei (天命) left at the very end of last year. Bakemono is ex-Syozyoseze (生生世世), and ex-ZETU (ゼツ) (as Maou (魔王)).

Secondly, the band will reveal a new music video for the song "影葬 (Eisou)" on Saturday, August 8th.

Lastly, on the same day, the band will release a new mini-album on streaming services: "堕影惨重葬". There aren't more details beyond that, and I apologize for not knowing how to romanize that properly.

Although demo tapes weren't as big in visual kei as they were in metal for example and got phased out by the mid 2000s, there's plenty of tapes from the boom years that have this ethereal/bewitched quality that cd and vinyl can't match.

So this is something that I first saw during the days of MH, but I didn't find it implemented here... yet. So let's roll and play the alphabet game! The rules are you list a band/artist that starts with a certain letter, and the person beneath you commenting has to list one that starts with the next letter. For example, if your letter started with "B", you'd list an artist whose name starts with that letter, and the person beneath you would have to list one starting with "C". This song was previously released digitally back in 2023 as part of their collection album, stuck to the end of the last song, but it looks like this either a remastered or remixed version.

Aregé has reformed after 26 years and will be putting out a single tomorrow, May 15th.

The band original split in 2000 after roughly 11 months of activity. During that time, they release two demo-tapes. The reformed band features their original lineup, save support guitarist Yuuka (憂架), who sadly passed away in 2005.

Their new single, "Monochrome", will be one track in length and available on your streaming platform of choice.
