Atmospheric albums / songs

You probably know my recommendations ahemm… but I’d say most of Eden album by Luna Sea like “In my dream (with shiver), “Lastly”, and even “Believe” which is one of the most well known songs of theirs. Now I’d also say “Last Night”, “How deep is your love” and “REAL” (heavy on this one) by ryuichi kawamura. For non Japanese music, I recommend “Drowning Man” by U2, and any I mean ANY Enya song. Sorry if it’s not what you’re looking for btw I listen to more energetic songs, usually.
@pyromania thank you peakling. I havent checked out enya apart from 2 songs so i definitely will. western recs are welcome here
As for Luna sea… I dont remember Lastly, I will check it out along with ryu songs -

Hi im looking to discover more stuff that are heavily atmospheric, can be beyond visual kei. like inner dimension, most of soft ballets discography, lacryma’s sculpture of time etc
@reiketsu Kreis bands have a great atmosphere, "Ever Seen" by Ray, "Shuumatsu no Joukei" by D≒SIRE, "Ark" by Izē, and early BLÜE are some good picks!

When I think of "atmospheric", my mind immediately goes to 9GOATS BLACK OUT.
I encourage you to check them out if you haven't yet!
^ Oh hell yes. Could you tell I like 9GOATS hahahaha… sorry to hijack this but I can’t help but add onto your rec a little.
It’s hard for me not to suggest you listen to their whole discography because it really is just that good, but if you listen to anything, for sure give devils in bedside and Tanatos a full listen. CALLING is a big favorite of mine too, but that’s their final album (unless you count ARCHIVES which I also love very much, the remastered songs on that are soooo good), if that matters to you lol. Don’t forget all of their other singles though… sleeping beauty is a must-hear.
Adding onto this, HOLLOWGRAM carries on a lot of that atmospheric feeling, and since they’re an active band I’d highly suggest them as well if you end up liking 9GOATS and want more. Their latest releases, MAJESTY/SCENIC, are sooo good & feature a lot of remastered songs from their discography, + you can listen on YouTube & other streaming services so that’s a big plus.
They’ve also got lots of fun live digests on their official channel. Here’s a nice atmospheric one to stay on theme lol…

@brainimpediment Everything ryo touches is gold. My favourite HOLLOWGRAM track as of late has been Paint in water color, although I think the single version has a better mix.
