The previous single with the AI vomit PV was a massive step in the wrong direction in my opinion, but the digital single that came out the other day was very good. Definitely had more of a vibe reminiscent of their earlier era.

For a sukekiyo A-side, Kyo's voice isn't as processed, there isn't an aggressive bed of glitches and synth behind the instrumentation and much of the song relies on the organic qualities of Takumi's and utA's guitars and keys. I mean they've had tracks like that on their albums all this time (all of which are great, by the way) but I was already getting Candis, Moan, dorothy, breeder etc. fatigue.

They're still my favorite active vk band.

My utmost respect & props to them!

That said, their last few albums and singles haven't always been to my liking... but they're at least doing something different, doing their own thing so I won't complain. This latest single also feels quite nice (almost making me think of their fantastic debut album), which bodes well for the future.
